FLL suits most Deerfield Beach travelers, since it is the nearer airport and has the bigger choice of flights; PBI suits anyone whose fare or schedule is better up north. Deerfield Beach is the last Broward city before Palm Beach County, with Boca Raton just across the Hillsboro Canal, so it sits between the two.

The beach side is the busiest for visitors: hotels and condos along A1A near the Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier, and the blocks where Hillsboro Boulevard meets the ocean. West of I-95, pickups are mostly homes and gated communities off Hillsboro Boulevard, Powerline Road and Sample Road.

Cruises from the north end of Broward

Port Everglades is the nearer pier from here.
