Your outing, our coach and driver

You plan the outing. Ace brings the coach and driver.

Many senior trip listings sell packaged tours, with hotel nights and tickets bundled into one price. Ace does something simpler. It supplies the vehicle and the professional driver for the outing your activities office, club or community plans.

You choose the destination, the day and the return time. Ace picks the group up at its own door, drives the plan and brings everyone home.

Meals, tickets and admission stay between your group and the places you visit. The quote covers the ride, so the trip budget is simple to split among the riders.

Day trips senior groups take

Shows, shopping, tours and a day in Orlando.

Most senior outings are one day, out after breakfast and home before dinner, or a matinee with a meal afterward. Ace runs its own day tours too, so a group can book one of those or build its own day around a destination.

Ace is not affiliated with the theaters, casinos, malls, parks or attractions it drives to. Tickets and admission are bought from them directly.

An easy pace from door to door

Illustration of a shaded garden path with wooden benches, tropical plants and a small lily pond in a quiet South Florida botanical gardenPicked up at the door, bags handled, home on time.

The coach pulls up as close to your clubhouse or building door as the drive allows, so nobody crosses a parking lot to board. The driver loads shopping bags, coolers and totes into the bays and hands them back at the end of the day.

Build the day around rest. A plan with fewer stops, a long lunch and a set return time works better than a packed schedule. Tell dispatch where the restroom and lunch stops should fall, and the driver keeps to that plan.

Boarding is by the coach's steps. Ace provides transportation, not wheelchair-lift or medical transport, so check that everyone on the sign-up list can manage the steps before the day.

Choosing the vehicle by sign-ups

Count the sign-ups, then pick the size.

The sign-up count picks the size. A small club or a card group may fit a Sprinter van with a driver. A minibus seats 15 to 20, and a full size coach seats 56 for a community-wide trip.

When more than one coach is needed, Ace adds vehicles from its partner-fleet capacity of 40+ vehicles. Every vehicle has GPS tracking, Wi-Fi and onboard cameras.

Size also depends on what rides along. Folding shopping carts, a picnic cooler and the bags from a shopping day all take bay space, so mention them with the headcount.

Planning the day with the activities office

Illustration of a wide covered outdoor shopping walkway with benches, potted palms and plain glass storefrontsOne trip leader, one list, one meeting point.

Name one trip leader who holds the sign-up list and a cell phone. Dispatch and the driver work through that person, and the leader counts heads at every stop and before the ride home.

Agree the meeting point for the return before the group walks away from the coach. Malls, theaters and casinos often load at a side entrance or a bus lane rather than the front door, and a set spot saves a long walk at the end of the day.

For a monthly calendar of outings, send the dates together. Each trip still gets its own quote, so the activities office can set the sign-up fee for each one.

Hurricane season and the paperwork

The same dispatch team for outings and storm plans.

Senior communities can plan their storm evacuations with the same dispatch team that runs their outings. Hurricane Evacuation Transportation covers the standby agreements signed before the season.

Community management usually asks for a carrier's details before the first trip. Ace Tours Inc was incorporated in Florida in 1999, is an active passenger carrier under USDOT 1310399 and carries $5,000,000 liability coverage. Certificates of insurance are available on request.

How it works

How a senior group trips trip runs

  1. Illustration of a white Ace Tours & Bus Charters motorcoach under the covered entrance canopy of a South Florida community center, door open beside the curb

    Pickup at the clubhouse door

The coach stops under the covered entrance with its door beside the curb, so the group boards a few steps from the lobby.

  2. Illustration of shopping bags, a small rolling tote and a straw sun hat on a bench beside a covered walkway outside a community clubhouse

    The driver takes the bags

Shopping bags, a rolling tote and a sun hat wait on the bench; the driver stows the bags below and hands them back at home.

  3. Illustration of the empty interior of a motorcoach seen from the front of the aisle, high-back cloth seats on both sides under overhead racks

    A comfortable ride

High-back seats, tinted windows and Wi-Fi on board, while the driver keeps an even pace on the highway.

  4. Illustration of a white Ace Tours & Bus Charters motorcoach at the drop-off curb of a modern theater building with a tall glass lobby and palms

    Drop-off at the theater

The coach stops at the entrance of the theater, casino or shopping center and meets the group there again at the agreed time.

Senior Group Trips: common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (954) 250-6667.

Do you sell senior tour packages?

No. Ace provides charter transportation with a driver for the trip your group plans. It also runs its own day tours, such as the Miami City Tour, each quoted per group.

Can the coach pick up at our clubhouse?

Yes. Give dispatch the address and the entrance you use, and the coach pulls up as close to the door as the drive allows.

Does the driver help with bags?

Yes. The driver loads shopping bags, coolers and totes into the bays and unloads them at the end of the trip.

Do you offer wheelchair lifts or rides to medical appointments?

No. Ace provides transportation for group outings, not wheelchair-lift or medical transport, and it does not run rides to doctor's appointments.

How is a senior group trip priced?

Each trip is quoted from the date, the hours, the destination, the stops and the number of riders. Call (954) 250-6667 or send the quote form.

How far ahead should we book?

Ask for a quote as soon as the date is set, then confirm the final headcount when sign-ups close, so the vehicle size matches the group.
