Vans, minibuses and coaches for Broward groups

Bags fill a coach before the seats do.

Ace charters Sprinter vans, minibuses and full size coaches, each with a professional driver. The right one depends on your head count and how much your group carries.

Bags change the answer. A team with equipment or a cruise group with large suitcases fills the luggage space before it fills the seats, so tell dispatch both numbers. Groups that only carry day bags can fit closer to the seat count.

A big church trip or a two-class field trip may need two coaches, not one. Ace can send several vehicles to the same pickup, drawing on a partner-fleet capacity of 40+ vehicles.

Where Fort Lauderdale charters start

Illustration of the Port Everglades inlet in Fort Lauderdale seen from the beach beside the rock jetty, calm green water in the channelBoard in Broward, ride anywhere in Florida.

Broward groups board in a handful of places again and again. Port Everglades sends cruise groups to hotels and airports on turnaround days. FLL lands teams, wedding guests and convention crowds who need to move together. The Broward County Convention Center, beside the port, brings meeting groups to hotels nearby. And schools and churches across the county book coaches for trips, retreats and events.

From there, a charter can go anywhere in Florida. Popular directions are south to Miami and the Keys, north to Palm Beach County, and longer days to Orlando, Tampa or Port Canaveral. Because the trip starts in Fort Lauderdale, it is an Ace trip wherever it ends; see Miami to Orlando Transportation for that run.

What drives a charter quote

Your itinerary sets the quote, not a rate card.

Every charter is quoted for its own itinerary. Ace prints no rates, because the same coach costs a different amount for a beach hotel run than for a full day to Orlando. These are the parts that move the number:

  • HoursFirst pickup to last drop-off, waiting included
  • DistanceMiles driven with your group on board
  • PositioningThe empty drive to the first pickup and back
  • TollsTurnpike, express lanes and bridges
  • ParkingAt the venue, port or stadium
  • Coach size, date and time of day

Driver hours on long days

Long days get a plan that fits the driver rules.

Coach drivers work under legal hours of service limits, which cap how long one driver may drive and stay on duty before resting. A short Broward run never comes close. A long day, such as a round trip to Orlando with a full program at the other end, might.

When you send the itinerary, Ace checks it against those rules. If the day is too long for one driver, the quote says so and offers a fix: a rest stop built into the plan, an overnight, or a second driver.

Loading at beach hotels and Port Everglades

Illustration of a short curved hotel driveway with a small entrance canopy and potted palms, the beach and ocean past the end of the driveAsk the hotel where coaches load.

Hotels along A1A often have short drives built for cars, not 56-passenger coaches. Tell dispatch the hotel name, and ask the hotel where coaches load. Some groups gather in the lobby and walk to a side street or the hotel's bus lane.

At Port Everglades, give dispatch the ship's name and terminal, and the driver plans the approach and the loading spot. For a school or church, the driver needs room in the parking lot where the coach can turn and the group can load away from traffic.

Name one leader with a cell phone. On the day, dispatch and the driver work through that person. Count heads before the coach leaves each stop; the leader knows the group, the driver knows the road.

Insurance and paperwork

Proof for venues, schools and churches.

Venues, schools and churches in Broward often ask for proof before they confirm a coach. Ace Tours Inc was incorporated in Florida in 1999, operates under USDOT 1310399 and carries $5,000,000 liability coverage. Certificates of insurance are available on request for the venue or organization that needs one.

Ace covers trips that start from Port St. Lucie to Key West. Trips that start elsewhere in Florida are handled by Ace's statewide brand; the About page explains how.

How it works

How a charter bus fort lauderdale trip runs

  1. Illustration of the cockpit of a modern motorcoach seen from the front passenger seat, steering wheel and dashboard, with a palm-lined road through the windshield

A professional driver at the wheel

Every coach comes with its driver. You do not drive, fuel or park the bus; you just ride.

  2. Illustration of a white Ace Tours & Bus Charters coach in a Fort Lauderdale church parking lot with palms, door open

Board at your church or school

The coach parks in your lot with the door open, so the group boards where it already meets.

  3. Illustration of a white Ace Tours & Bus Charters motorcoach on A1A along Fort Lauderdale beach with the ocean beyond

Ride the coast or the highway

Take A1A along the beach for the view, or the fastest highway for the schedule. The route is planned before the day.

  4. Illustration of a white Ace Tours & Bus Charters motorcoach parked in a side view at a Fort Lauderdale convention center entrance with palms

    Arrive at the front entrance

The coach pulls up at the convention center, venue or hotel entrance, and the group steps off together.

Charter Bus Fort Lauderdale: common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (954) 250-6667.

Do you tip charter bus drivers?

Tipping is your group's choice. Ask dispatch when you book how gratuity is handled on your quote, so the group leader knows before the trip.

How many hours a day can a charter bus driver drive?

Hours of service rules limit daily driving and on-duty time. Ace checks your itinerary against them when it quotes, and plans a break or a second driver if the day is long.

Can a charter bus meet our group at FLL and take us to Port Everglades?

Yes. Give dispatch the flight details, the ship and the head count, and the coach is sized for people and bags. See Port Everglades Shuttle for smaller parties.

Do you have a 56-passenger bus for a trip from Fort Lauderdale to Miami?

Yes. The full size motorcoach seats 56, and more than one can be booked for bigger groups.

Can I book a charter bus for today?

Call (954) 250-6667. Dispatch answers 24/7 and tells you straight away what is available for your time and group size.

How early should we book a charter bus?

As soon as the date is set. Holidays, cruise weekends and big event dates fill up first, so booking early gives you the widest choice of vehicles.
