A round trip across the state

Out to the Gulf side, and back to your door.

This run crosses Florida from the Atlantic side to the Gulf side, so Ace books it as a round trip. The first leg drops you at the RSW departures curb in Fort Myers. The second leg picks you up at RSW when your flight lands and drives you back to Miami.

Both legs go on one quote with one dispatch number, and the vehicle is sized to the group for the whole trip.

A round trip also protects the end of your travel day. RSW is far from Miami, and arranging a ride home from there at the last minute is hard. With the return already booked, you walk out of baggage claim and the plan is waiting.

Pickups across Miami-Dade

From the Gables to the Beach, the ride starts at home.

The trip can start at any address in Miami-Dade, and the return can end somewhere else if your plans change. Pickups farther north in Broward and Palm Beach County are quoted the same way.

For a group spread across several homes, list the addresses in the order you want them, and the driver collects everyone on one route before heading west. The same list can work in reverse for the drop-offs on the way home.

Why fly out of Fort Myers

Illustration of a quiet Gulf Coast beach in Southwest Florida with sea oats on low dunes, shells along the waterline and calm pale waterA Gulf Coast flight, with the ground part handled.

Most Miami travelers fly from MIA, so heading west to RSW usually comes with a reason. A family may be spending time on the Gulf Coast before or after the flight. A nonstop or a fare out of Fort Myers may beat what Miami offers that week. A group may be joining relatives or a team on that side of the state.

Whatever the reason, Ace handles the ground part at both ends. You leave from home in Miami, fly out of RSW, and come back to a driver waiting for you at the same airport.

Cruise passengers sometimes do it the other way round: sail from PortMiami, then fly home from Fort Myers after a stay on the Gulf. Ace can meet the ship at PortMiami for the first leg.

Alligator Alley or the Tamiami Trail

Illustration of Big Cypress swamp seen from a roadside pull-off, bald cypress trees with air plants, dark water in a canal and sawgrass in frontAcross the Everglades, then into Fort Myers.

Two roads cross the Everglades to the Gulf side. I-75, known as Alligator Alley, runs straight and fenced across the sawgrass, with canals along much of its length. US 41, the Tamiami Trail, is the older two-lane road farther south through Big Cypress. The driver picks the route for the day's traffic and your flight time.

Services are few out in the Everglades, so plan a restroom stop before the crossing or tell the driver if the group needs one. Ace does not publish a drive time, because traffic leaving Miami decides it. Dispatch sets the pickup from your departure time with room to check bags.

What shapes an RSW quote

Both legs priced together, in writing.

Ace sizes the vehicle to the people and their bags: a Sprinter van with a driver for a family, a minibus for 15 to 20, or a full size motorcoach for up to 56, with partner-fleet capacity of 40+ vehicles for larger groups. Every Ace vehicle has Wi-Fi, GPS tracking and onboard cameras.

The written quote covers both legs and is built from these details:

  • AddressesPickup, and where the return ends
  • Outbound flightDate and time
  • Return flightNumber, date and time
  • People and bagsBeach and golf gear included

Return pickup at RSW, and the credentials

Land, call dispatch, and ride home to Miami.

Put the return flight number on the booking. When you land, collect your bags and call dispatch, which answers 24/7, and the driver meets you at the arrivals curb for the ride back to Miami.

How a fort myers airport shuttle trip runs

  1. Illustration of a white Ace Tours & Bus Charters motorcoach at the curb of a Coral Gables street under huge banyan trees, door open, Mediterranean-style houses behind

    Pickup under the banyans

The coach waits on your shady Miami street with the door open, and the driver loads the bags.

  2. Illustration of a roadside picnic shelter with a metal roof and concrete tables beside flat sawgrass marsh, a cabbage palm and a canal behind

    A break beside the sawgrass
