Airport to airport: FLL to MIA and MIA to FLL

Land at one airport, fly out of the other.

Plenty of trips start at one airport and end at the other. A traveler lands at FLL but flies out of MIA on an international ticket. A cruise passenger sails home to one port and has a flight from the other airport. A missed connection leaves someone at the wrong airport with a flight to catch.

Ace runs the transfer in both directions. The driver meets you at the arrivals curb of one airport and drops you at the departures door of the other, with your bags handled at both ends. Send both flight numbers and dispatch sets the pickup with room to check in.

Leave more room than you think for an airport to airport run. You collect bags at one end and check in again at the other, and both take time on a busy day.

City to city: hotels, homes and offices

Not every ride involves a plane. Visitors staying on Fort Lauderdale beach head to Miami Beach for a dinner or a show. Business travelers in a Las Olas hotel have meetings in Brickell or Doral. Families in a Miami condo want a day on the Fort Lauderdale waterfront.

Ace picks up at the hotel entrance, the front door or the office lobby and drops you at the address you give. Return rides are booked the same way, and a group can make stops on the way if they are listed in the quote.

Teams and groups heading to a game, a concert or a conference in the other city often book a minibus or coach for the whole outing, with the driver taking everyone back at the end of the night.

Shuttle, rideshare or the train

Illustration of an empty commuter rail platform under a steel canopy, empty tracks alongside, palms and an overpass in the distanceDoor to door, one vehicle, quoted first.

Rail runs between Broward and Miami-Dade. For a solo traveler with a backpack it can be the lowest cost option. With suitcases it means getting to a station, riding, then getting from the far station to your door or terminal, often with a connection at each end.

A rideshare goes door to door but is priced per car, and a group with bags may need more than one. An Ace shuttle is quoted before the ride, goes door to door and carries the whole party in one vehicle. Ace doesn't run a free shuttle between the airports; every ride is quoted.

I-95, the Turnpike or US-1

Dispatch plans around the traffic you will meet.

Most rides between the two cities use I-95. When it is slow, the driver can switch to Florida's Turnpike to the west, or use US-1 for short hops between neighboring towns along the coast.

The time on the road changes with the hour: weekday rush hours are the slowest, and evenings around big events in Miami can be busy too. Ace doesn't print a ride time for this trip. Dispatch looks at your pickup time and destination, and plans around the traffic you are likely to meet. Late night returns are normal, since dispatch is open around the clock.

Fort Lauderdale to Miami Shuttle: common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (954) 250-6667.

Is there a shuttle between the Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports?

Yes. Ace runs FLL to MIA and MIA to FLL transfers, shared or private. Send both flight numbers when you book.

Is there a free shuttle between FLL and MIA?

Ace doesn't run a free one. Every Ace ride between the airports is quoted before you book.

Can I take the train from MIA to Fort Lauderdale Airport?

Rail runs between the two areas, but it means getting to and from stations with your bags. A shuttle goes curb to curb. With a single carry-on, the train can work well.

How long does the ride from FLL to Miami take?

It depends on the hour and the traffic on I-95. Dispatch plans the pickup around both, with extra room when you have a flight to catch.

What is the cheapest way to get from Miami to Fort Lauderdale?

For one light traveler, rail or a bus often costs least. For two or more with bags, a quoted shuttle split across the group can compare well, and it is door to door.

Can a group make stops between Fort Lauderdale and Miami?

Yes. List the stops when you request the quote, and they are built into the trip.
